Huskies are loyal dogs but in their own way. Sentimentalism is not their best skill. This breed will show loyalty by valuing how much he loves your presence. And by being alert, eager to please, and adaptable. Also, they have a special bond with kids.
I would say simple things like spending time with his owner and valuing your friendship. Although he does not shows his love clearly, you know that based on some of his attitude, there is a dog that cares for his family. Some dog breeds are expressive of their love, but Huskies are not exactly like that. Now we will take a closer look at this.
In general Siberian Huskies are not that lap type of dog full of sentimentalism. He has this kind of reserve about him and does not show his emotions easily. This breed knows how to keep a distance and respects your space. It is almost like he knows there is a line he cannot cross to respect your personal space.
They will express love in their way. It does not matter if there are not expressive of their love. Huskies have the type of personality that reveals their love by appreciating your presence, being alert, eager to please, and adaptable.
Just as a comparison, there is the show line Husky. They were bred with aesthetic goals to gain success and admiration in shows. The show line Husky ended up being sentimental, the type of dog that shows more affection than the Huskies we all know. The show line keeps constant eye contact, shows greater eagerness to please, and is all over you, invading your space.
Loyalty also means protecting those who you love. If you get attacked by someone, it is most likely that your Husky will not defend you, simply because they are unsuspicious of humans. This video here exemplifies it very well.
Siberian Husky is very social and is the opposite of an introvert. They love meeting people when raised with humans. Although this breed is loyal to their owners, their warm hearts won’t suspect visiting friends and relatives. In those situations, Huskies will welcome them with enthusiastic friendliness! Also, because they are so friendly even with strangers, it is a fact that they are not one-dog owners.
The Siberian Husky loves companions and finds great pleasure with his human family or other dogs. Their friendship demonstrates how special they are. This breed truly values your friendship.
Those dogs in the past lived in a pack, which is why they hate to be alone more than any other dog breed. Inclusive, if a Husky is left alone for many hours frequently, this breed will develop separation anxiety. Your simple presence can make the day of a Husky better. It is one of his ways to show love and loyalty.
There is a special connection between a Siberian Husky and children. Some say that Huskies are like that because three thousand years ago, the tribe Chukchi that lived along the cold Arctic coast of northeastern Siberia needed a strong and resilient dog, which took the tribe to develop the Husky we all know today.
During the day, he would use his strength and resilience to help the tribe with the hard work, and at night he would relax around the women and have fun with the children. Also, on top of that, the Chukchi tribe raised the pups and their babies together. Some breeders say the tribe put the puppy Husky and their baby together to warm them from the cold. So after all that, we got a dog breed that is extremely gentle and even demonstrates affection to a child.
If you pay attention will be very noticeable that Huskies are way more protective of children. Just check this video here and see for yourself at 1:44 minutes.
Just this week, I was at the park with two kids, and out of nowhere, a beautiful Husky appeared with those amazing blue eyes. Even though he was using the leash, he made his way through until he got to the exact place where the kids were. So he sat there and enjoyed the presence of the kids for quite some time.
Now it is clear why this breed is so special. Huskies have such a good heart that they will welcome any strange. They are protective and care a lot for kids, and know how to value your friendship.
